Russell Street
Bridge

Project
Highlights

Construction projects in public areas are always complex — but when you’re demolishing and reconstructing a 500 foot bridge near one of the busiest intersections in the state, logistics are more important than ever. DAC approached this project in a heavily-phased way, starting with the construction of a new, 44’ wide, 510’ foot long bridge across the Clark River. We also installed a 104’ arch tunnel beneath Russell street to separate pedestrian traffic from auto — completed in two phases to keep traffic flowing during the process. To accommodate all the urban grade changes created during the project, DAC constructed and installed over 2,500' of retaining wall, ranging from 4’ to 20’ tall.
