DAC Phoenix District Manager Lands Cover Story of Commercial Construction Renovation
Meet Rivers Anderson, the District Manager of Chanen Construction, a Dick Anderson Construction Company. He and his wife made the move from Montana to Phoenix after DAC acquired Chanen Construction in 2023, demonstrating a personal commitment to the Arizona market.
Less than three years later, Anderson and his team are making their mark with a number of significant projects, including the newly renovated Mountain Modern Sedona Resort (formerly Sedona Real Inn & Suites). The project, completed in 2025, included the renovation of eight buildings and 89 guest rooms, with work done two buildings at a time to keep the hotel open throughout.
Anderson and his team were careful to respect regional requirements, such as Sedona’s dark sky ordinances and exterior color restrictions, as well as managing noise, dust, and access in an occupied hotel. They also prioritized working with local Arizona contractors for electrical, demolition, framing, drywall, and painting work.
The excellent work was noticed and featured in the June 2025 issue of Commercial Construction Renovation magazine.
