Project
Highlights
After a full 100 years in use, Montana’s State Capitol building was in need and much deserving of a renovation. DAC was honored to be chosen as general contractor for the admittedly complex job, which required the renovation of a large portion of the building as well as the elimination of a variety of non-historic alterations made over the course of the building’s history. The project brought its fair share of challenges — from a sudden schedule crunch, to a unexpected asbestos abatement task, to the demands of working around a still-functioning governmental building. The end result was well worth the hard work, though — receiving the Governor’s 2001 Special Preservation Award, as well as a nomination for the AON build America Award.
