Midwestern University announces $95M investment in housing, Names Chanen (Dick Anderson Construction) as Developer
Midwestern University, a long-standing client with Chanen Construction, a Dick Anderson Construction Company, announced big news in May 2025: a $95 million investment in a new 256-unit student housing complex on its Glendale, AZ campus. This is the sixth phase of residential development since the campus opened in 1995.
The project, developed by Chanen/DAC, aims to address a persistent waitlist of 500–600 students and is expected to be completed in spring 2026.
The housing project is the first of $269.7 million in planned construction at Midwestern University, with future projects focused on study spaces, accessible facilities, and overall improvements to student life. The university contributes a combined $1.2 billion annually to local economies in Illinois and Arizona.
