Pioneer
Aeronautics

Project
Highlights

This state-of-the-art aerospace manufacturing plant, constructed by DAC for Pioneer Aeronautics, is comprised of two different building types joined together — a wood-based office space, and a pre-engineered metal manufacturing facility. The single-level office space is finished with gypsum board and alder trim throughout the interior, with masonry and rough sawn lumber making up the exterior. The Varco Pruden manufactured metal building is skinned with Kingspan insulated siding and roofing panels to maximize energy and improve insulation. The whole of the project was designed with expansion in mind — thanks to some strategic planning with the owners and designers, we were able to generate a result that will be repeatable many times over.
