Montana Craft
Malt Plant

Project
Highlights

DAC was brought on early in the planning process for this particular project: a prototypical, mid-sized craft malt plant in Butte, Montana. Efforts were international, with project design instruction from Canada, malting equipment from China, and a kiln-building-heating system from Germany. The plant is very unique in size and is considered a prototype in the industry at 10,000 tons of malt annually. The final product required some serious heavy lifting, with 2200 cubic yards of concrete poured, and over 400 tons of reinforcement steel.
