Addition & Remodel

The Winifred School Addition and Remodel is a state-of-the-art building intended to brighten learning experiences and bring new exciting building technologies to life. The building is 112,438 SF of mixed remodel and new construction. The existing school comprises clay block, CMU, and brick. The space within the building consists of 2 gyms, a running track, a weight room, locker rooms, a bus barn, a welding/wood cutting shop, a library, a full kitchen, several remodeled or new classroom spaces, and a new administration space.

Site improvement included a concrete courtyard, synthetic running track, synthetic turf football field, track and field events, geothermal, asphalt, parking, road construction, exterior bleachers, crows nest, mechanical yard, exterior basketball court, and landscaping.

Preconstruction Services
Dick Anderson Construction performed pre-construction services during the COVID-19 pandemic and was able to deliver this project within 2 percent of our 75% CD pricing. This is a testimony of our active approach to ensuring our costing data is up to date and always reflects current market conditions.

Cost/Schedule Savings
DAC engaged and subcontracted our steel supplier during pre-construction to save on steel pricing inflation and ensure steel showed up to the job site on time for scheduled steel erection. During COVID-19, prices were unstable, and by signing a purchase order for committed member sizes and steel tonnage, we were able to save the owner future inflated costs.
