The TownePlace Suites Marriott project involved the ground-up construction of a four-story, 70,000-square-foot extended-stay hotel featuring 106 guest rooms. The structure is primarily wood-framed, with a structural steel package on the first floor and architectural steel elements incorporated into the exterior.
Guest rooms were designed to include kitchenettes, walk-in showers, and tubs. Common area amenities included a pool, spa, fitness center, and multiple conference rooms.
The project was constructed on a tight site, which presented challenges related to site logistics, and high groundwater also had to be managed. Despite these conditions, the construction team maintained schedule efficiency and cost control, completing the project ahead of schedule and within the owner's budget.
