Expansion

The overall goal of this project is not only to expand the working capacity of the Great Falls Clinic Hospital but also to increase the overall number of services they can provide. This project includes a new facility space and remodeling the current Great Falls Clinic Hospital. Some new services include but are not limited to, more complex surgeries, in-house biology lab services, and a new cardiac cath lab. The new spaces created by the 3-story North Tower, ED Entrance, and the West Addition will dramatically increase the capacity and services of the hospital.

The primary phase of this project will be the significant additions to the North Tower and West Addition. These additions will add approximately 47,000 SF of brand-new space for the clinic. This is a complex and challenging project, as the DAC team will tie new completed spaces to a fully operational clinic. With the market's current condition, it is a tremendous task to coordinate subcontractors, electrical gear, air handling units, and specialized medical equipment for the new facility. Timing and scheduling are critical for project management to ensure the project is completed efficiently and on time.

The secondary phase of this project involves renovating and improving much of the existing Great Falls Clinic Hospital building. As these facility improvements are completed, they will progress into 2024. Completing several renovation areas within the operating clinic will challenge DAC. While working in an operational medical facility, DAC must mitigate noise, dust, and vibration from construction activities, all of which are inherent in the construction industry.
