New one-story 7,743 SF branch bank. The bank is B Occupancy and Type VB Construction. The structure comprises HSS columns, steel sheet sheathing shear walls, steel beams, and wood roof trusses with glulam beams supporting the clerestory roof. Wall assemblies comprise gypsum board, vapor barrier, CFS studs, gypsum sheathing, self-adhering air, moisture barrier, polyiso rigid insulation, exterior siding cladding, metal panel, or cultured stone. Roof assemblies include EPDM and standing seam metal.
The project was initially estimated in the DD phase to be over budget, and DAC assisted the design team and owner with value engineering, which included the elimination of the rooftop mechanical unit, clear reduction, more cost-effective finish selections, change to wood trusses, etc. We split the project into two (2) separate bid packages so that we could start construction earlier and complete it by Fall 2023.
