Project
Highlights
The new Blue Cross Blue Shield headquarters sits on the south side of Highway 12 overlooking the Helena valley, with views from all sides. The building is approximately 95,000 Square Feet, including a basement, full first and second floors, as well as a partial third floor. The interior sports wide spaces for an open-concept feeling and includes a walking trail around the exterior of the building. The building’s tech is state-of-the-art, with multiple video conference rooms, boosted wireless access points, sound masking, and a fully integrated building automation system. The roof is designed to reduce the heat-island effect, while the exterior lighting was designed to reduce light pollution. The HVAC system uses 100% outdoor air and cycles it throughout the building for a pleasant working environment. The main floor features a cafeteria, as well as a large break room on the main floor where employees can spend their breaks together. The Building was designed with Energy efficiency in mind, shooting for LEED Certified status from the beginning. Thanks to the features and materials used, we reduced energy and water consumption by thirty percent.
