North 40
Outfitters

Project
Highlights

This project is the 11th store in North 40’s three-state region: Montana, Idaho, and Washington. Their headquarters and administrative offices are also in Great Falls. DAC has completed several projects for North 40 over the years, and we have established a great relationship with them.

The project started in January 2019 with a massive demo project. An old Kmart building and a Big Bear Sporting Goods were gutted and combined to create a vast retail floor. We got our building permit in April and started the interior build and four building additions.

This store is their largest yet and will be the model for future projects. The retail floor space is 120,000 sq.ft., with an additional 20,000+ sq.ft. of office, break room, and shipping/receiving. Some of the special features are a 35-yard indoor archery range, 70-foot gun counter, coffee bar, large greenhouse and garden center, and, coming this spring, a fly casting patio so you can try out that fly rod before you buy it.
