Located just north of Columbus, the Stillwater County Fairgrounds / Civic Center Project is a new 34,000-square-foot facility for Stillwater County. The Civic Center includes a 12,000-square-foot enclosed pavilion with an open event area, kitchen facilities, restrooms, meeting rooms, and storage space. The 22,000-square-foot open-sided livestock area includes a riding arena and a show ring. The perimeter of the building was built on 36 rammed aggregate piers.
The County Civic Center will be used to host horse clinics, dog agility competitions/classes, state and regional shooting sports events, livestock jackpots, regional extension meetings, 4-H workshops and events, conventions/meetings, school events, arts and crafts events, swap and shop events, outdoor concerts, outdoor rodeos and more.
