The West End Water Treatment Plant in Billings, Montana is approaching an important milestone – the pre-engineered metal building is nearly complete. With this accomplished the project will transition into its next major phase which will include interior finishes, HVAC, Plumbing, and electrical. DAC is looking to finish out the process piping and equipment installation over the coming months. The jobsite continues to be a busy place as the water treatment plant starts to take shape.
The project consists of conventional pretreatment, membrane filtration, pumping, chemical systems, and an administration area. This facility secures an alternative source of treated water for the City of Billings, meeting the City’s long-term needs for drinking water service capacity and system redundancy. The City’s water system will be strengthened as the new West End Water Treatment Facility operates in conjunction with the existing treatment and delivery facilities at the Water Treatment Plant on Belknap Avenue, as well as the numerous storage and booster facilities throughout the city.
